Hotel Rottnest is seeking an experienced and dynamic Venue Manager to lead the operations of one of Rottnest Island's largest and most iconic hospitality venues.

This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a fast-paced, high-energy venue with a strong food and beverage offering, live sport, entertainment, and a busy functions and events calendar. The venue hosts major annual events including New Year's Eve celebrations, the renowned Port to Pub Swim, live entertainment, touring artists and well-known bands, alongside a variety of seasonal island events throughout the year.

With a venue capacity of up to 2,500 guests, this role is ideal for a hands-on hospitality leader who thrives in large-scale operations and enjoys creating memorable guest experiences in a unique island environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of a 2,500-capacity venue
• Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing hospitality team
• Deliver exceptional customer experiences across food, beverage, entertainment and events
• Manage rostering, labour costs and wage budgets
• Drive operational efficiency in a high-volume environment
• Support the delivery of large-scale events, functions and live entertainment
• Contribute to the development of engaging social and entertainment experiences for guests
• Maintain strong financial performance, including ownership of venue targets and P&L outcomes

About You

• Proven experience as a Venue Manager, Assistant Venue Manager or senior hospitality leader within a high-volume venue
• Strong leadership and people management skills
• Experience managing large teams in fast-paced environments
• Financially literate with experience managing budgets, labour costs and operational targets
• Passion for hospitality, entertainment and creating memorable guest experiences
