Our client is hiring an experienced Hotel General Manager for Arthouse Hotel located in Sydney, NSW.

Arthouse Hotel is a heritage-listed venue in the heart of Sydney’s CBD, known for its grand interiors, high ceilings, and arts-focused atmosphere, the venue hosts dining, cocktails, live entertainment, cabaret nights, and creative workshops. Arthouse Hotel continues to be a favourite gathering place for good times and genuine service.

About the role:
As the Hotel General Manager of Arthouse Hotel, you will manage the day-to-day running of the venue, ensure strict compliance with NSW Liquor and Gaming regulations, and maintain the high standards our patrons expect. You’ll be a hands-on leader who thrives in a busy environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily venue operations, including opening and closing procedures
• Ensure full compliance with NSW liquor licensing laws and obligations
• Recruit, train, roster and manage staff across bar, floor and security
• Maintain a safe, friendly, and vibrant atmosphere for all guests
• Manage stock levels, ordering, and supplier relationships
• Handle cash operations, reports, and other administrative duties
• Lead promotions, events, and entertainment planning
• Uphold the welcoming and friendly spirit of Arthouse Hotel

Requirements:

• Current NSW RSA & RCG
• Valid NSW Competency Card
• Proven experience in a supervisory, managerial, or licensee role within hospitality
• Strong understanding of NSW liquor legislation and venue compliance
• Excellent communication, leadership, and customer service skills
• Ability to work evenings, weekends and public holidays
• Passion for hospitality, community spirit, and creating memorable guest experiences
