Log Cabin Hotel, part of the Laudy Hotels group, is seeking a qualified and experienced Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. Located on the banks of the Nepean River, Log Cabin Hotel is a popular hospitality venue known for its quality food, exceptional service, and vibrant dining experience.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare, cook, and present a variety of high-quality dishes in accordance with established recipes and venue standards.
• Assist in planning and developing seasonal menus and daily specials.
• Monitor food quality, portion control, and presentation standards.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety regulations.
• Manage stock rotation, ordering, and inventory control to minimise wastage.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen workstations and equipment.
• Assist in training and supervising kitchen staff where required.
• Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure efficient service during busy periods.
• Monitor food preparation and cooking processes to maintain consistency and quality.

Skills and Experience Required:

• Relevant trade qualification (Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent).
• Minimum 1-2 years of relevant post-qualification experience as a Chef.
• Experience working in a high-volume restaurant, hotel, pub, or bistro environment.
• Strong knowledge of modern Australian cuisine and kitchen operations.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
