Salamander Hotel is looking for a passionate and hard-working Chef to join our growing team in beautiful Salamander Bay. You will be working with a fun, positive and supportive kitchen team in a busy hospitality venue.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, has a positive attitude, cares about their team and has a strong growth mindset. We are passionate about producing great food – from pub classics to fresh, seasonal specials – and there is real potential to grow in this role and within the group.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Open and close the kitchen as required
• Prepare and cook pub and hotel-style food in line with menu standards
• Work across all kitchen sections
• Adjust dishes for allergies and dietary requirements
• Maintain high standards of food presentation and attention to detail
• Monitor food stock levels and assist with stock control
• Minimise waste and manage food costs
• Ensure all health, safety and hygiene regulations are followed
• Support and work collaboratively with other kitchen staff

Qualifications & Experience

• Proven experience as a Cook or Chef
• Ability to work across all sections of the kitchen
• Strong understanding of stock control and waste minimisation
• Sound knowledge of kitchen procedures, food handling and workplace safety
• Food Safety Certificate required
