Design Director – Luxury Hospitality Interiors

Singapore

This is a leadership role for a Design Director who leads from the front.

You take ownership of design vision across high-end hospitality projects. You shape concept, guide delivery, and set the creative standard for the studio. You work directly with principals, developers, and senior client stakeholders.

This role suits someone with built work, strong judgement, and the confidence to lead both clients and internal teams.

The Studio

• Established hospitality design studio with a strong regional portfolio

• Projects include luxury hotels, resorts, and branded residences

• Senior leadership team with direct client access

• Platform to influence design direction, culture, and growth

The Role

• Lead projects from concept through completion

• Define and maintain design intent across all stages

• Act as the primary design authority with clients and developers

• Lead, mentor, and review the work of senior and mid-level designers

• Present concepts clearly and defend design decisions with confidence

• Ensure built outcomes align with the original design vision

• Contribute to studio standards, design culture, and project strategy

Required Qualifications

• Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related design discipline

• 12+ years of professional experience in interior design

• Minimum 4+ years in a senior leadership or Design Director capacity

• Proven delivery of luxury hospitality projects from concept to completion

• Strong portfolio of built hotel, resort, or high-end residential projects

• Experience working with international operators and developers

• Demonstrated leadership of design teams on complex projects

• High level of design literacy, spatial awareness, and material knowledge

• Strong client management and presentation capability

Preferred Experience

• Experience delivering projects across Asia

• Experience working with luxury hotel operators and branded residences

• Confident operating in client-facing leadership roles

• Ability to operate at both conceptual and technical levels

This is a senior appointment with direct influence over design direction, project outcomes, and studio growth.
