We are currently working with a prominent international fund specializing in high-end luxury resorts and hotels. Our client seeks a seasoned hospitality professional to join as Chief Operations Officer (COO). As COO, you will lead and shape a best-in-class operational strategy for a multi-property luxury and all-inclusive hospitality portfolio, driving results, creating world-class guest experiences, and implementing groundbreaking transformational strategies for operations across multiple countries, brands, and business models. The position is based in Mexico City, Mexico. What the job involves
- Deliver strong, sustainable financial performance across the entire portfolio, ensuring profitability, value creation, and long-term returns
- Execute the corporate strategy with speed and operational discipline, translating vision into measurable results at property and regional levels
- Lead large-scale transformations, brand repositioning, renovations, and hotel openings, including multi-million-dollar capital programs
- Elevate guest satisfaction, brand reputation, and service excellence consistently across all properties and brands
- Oversee full P&L and asset performance for a multi-property portfolio, optimizing revenue mix, yield, and operational efficiency
- Define and drive regional sales, marketing, distribution, and revenue management strategies, maximizing RevPAR, Total RevPAR, and Net RevPAR
- Build and develop high-performing teams with a strong leadership pipeline, fostering accountability, collaboration, and succession planning
- Maintain cultural alignment across diverse brands, regions, and teams, leading organizational and cultural change initiatives
- Secure trusted, long-term relationships with owners, investors, and key stakeholders, aligning operational execution with ownership expectations
- Ensure consistent operational standards, data-driven decision making, and KPI discipline across luxury, full-service, and all-inclusive business models
- Regional strategic leader with an enterprise-wide business mindset, capable of aligning multi-country operations with overall portfolio value creation
- Solid expertise in luxury and all-inclusive hospitality management, with a hands-on understanding of service excellence and guest experience
- Extensive international hospitality experience, with 25+ years in senior regional or multi-property executive roles
- Proven transformational leader, with the ability to drive large-scale operational, financial, and cultural changes in complex hospitality environments
- Strong executive decision-maker, effective in ambiguous, high-pressure, and high-stakes contexts
- Charismatic and inspiring leader, able to motivate and lead diverse teams across regions and brands
- Consummate communicator, aligning operations, commercial, finance, and asset management teams with corporate vision, culture and strategy
- Advanced P&L ownership and financial planning capabilities, driving EBITDA growth, margin expansion, and capital efficiency
- Sophisticated revenue, yield, and distribution strategist, with a strong command of pricing, demand segmentation, and RevPAR optimization
- Experience in large-scale renovations, capital projects, and hotel openings, delivering on time, on budget, and on brand
- Passionate developer of talent, building leadership pipelines, succession plans, and high-engagement teams
- Highly resilient and adaptable, thriving in fast-changing, multicultural, and performance-driven environment
- Exceptional relationship building skills, credible with owners, boards, investors, and internal stakeholders
- Highly analytical and results-oriented, translating data into clear priorities and measurable outcomes
- Culturally intelligent, inclusive, and effective multicultural leader, comfortable operating across geographies and diverse teams
- MBA is required, complemented by executive education in strategy and performance management
- Advanced English proficiency, required for daily interaction with international stakeholders
